A Harry Potter Inspired Wedding

CALLING ALL HARRY POTTER-LOVING BRIDES!!

I know you’ve been thinking a lot about how you can turn your wedding into a magical Hogwarts experience! Well, my best friend recently got married, and she is the ULTIMATE Harry Potter fan. Naturally, I wanted to give her the Triwizard Cup of weddings! (Okay, I’m getting a little carried away.) Here is how I did it!

"Muggle to Mrs." Coffee Mug

First, I started her day with a “Muggle to Mrs.” mug for her morning coffee.

Storybook Paper Flowers

For her bouquet, I made paper flowers out of Harry Potter book pages, specifically “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” since that is her favorite. (I promise the rest of the book went to good use… see below!)

"Always" Wedding Dress Hanger

For her wedding dress, I made her an “Always” hanger with her name and wedding date. The hanger text was made with black vinyl, and the wire name was made with 12 gauge jewelry wire.

Daily Prophet Guestbook

And can you really have a Harry Potter wedding without a Daily Prophet guest book for everyone to sign? I titled it “Muggles Get Married”  and included cute quotes and phrases that the guests could sign their names around.

Special Delivery

I wrapped their gift envelope in brown craft paper to make a customized Owl Post envelope with twine and their wedding location as the address, inspired by “The Cupboard Under The Stairs”.

Owl Post Bird Cage

I put the envelope in a gold Owl Post bird cage that served as their card box. I filled it with decorative pheasant feathers for an extra touch! The tag was made with cardstock and twine.

"Always" Vow Cards

For their vows, I made personalized, gold “His Vows” and “Her Vows” envelopes. Inside were cards reading “Always” in gold foil for them to write their vows on.

Secret Ring Holder Book

To give them a cute ring photo op, I took what was left of the Harry Potter book (after making the paper flowers) and turned it into a ring holder. I glued green ribbon behind the stack of pages that they could tie their rings to. The chapter on display was the one titled “The Wedding”.

Gold Snitch Napkin Rings

For their reception, I made golden snitch napkin rings using gold wooden rings and gold feathers. I placed them over a green napkin on top of gold chargers. I also used a navy table runner, gold votives, navy place cards with gold foil, and gold bud vases.

Mr. & Mrs. Toasting Glasses

For their wedding toasts, I made them Mr. and Mrs. champagne glasses written in classic Harry Potter font.

"He's a Keeper, She's a Catch" Sweetheart Decorations

I decorated their reception chairs with navy and gold “He’s A Catch” and “She’s A Keeper” banners that I sewed out of navy canvas material.

"I Solemnly Swear" Do Not Disturb Signs

And lastly, I sent everyone home with a personalized “Do Not Disturb” door sign to make sure that they got some rest! For the bride and groom, I gave them a “Mischief Managed” sign to close out their night!
