DIY Personalized Bridal Party Wristlets
Is there anyone out there who doesn’t love gold foil accents? I really don’t think so!
Today I’m sharing one of the gifts that I made for my bridesmaids when I got married: personalized wristlets! (See my Bridesmaid Gift Boxes)
When I made these cute little bags, I was still a Cricut newbie, and I was actually surprised to discover that Cricut Iron-On transfers worked really well on faux leather! I thought that iron-on material was only intended for fabric, but I tried it anyway… and it melted right into the faux leather and created a perfectly smooth surface. I was also scared that the heat would melt or damage the fabric, but as long as I was extremely careful (and patient) with application, the results were amazing.
To match my wedding colors of blush and gold, I found the perfect blush pink wristlets in the Michaels jewelry department (they don’t sell them anymore, but I’ve linked similar ones below). I cut the names out of gold Cricut Foil Iron-On material and applied them to the bags on a low-heat setting. The bags came out so cute that I made them for myself, my bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. Then for a little extra touch, I put some pretty silver and rose gold jewel pens inside the bags!
I didn’t ask or require my bridesmaids to use their bags on the day of my wedding, but it was so sweet to see that they all had their matching bags when the day came!
